Who is responsible

What this website collects
Nothing. There is no database behind these pages, no contact-form processor, no analytics, no advertising pixels and no cookies. The pages are static files.
The contact form does not transmit anything. It formats what you type and hands it to your own email application, so the data stays on your device until you choose to send the email.
Two things are loaded from outside: the typefaces come from Google Fonts, and the site is served by Cloudflare Pages. Both see your IP address as part of delivering the page, as any web host does. Neither is used by me to identify or profile you, and I do not receive visitor logs.
What I hold once you contact me
If you email, call or message me about a role, I hold what you chose to send: typically your name, email address, phone number, the agency or company you work for, and the details of the role. Nothing more, and I don’t enrich it from other sources.
Why I’m allowed to hold it
Legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)): replying to a business enquiry you chose to start, and keeping enough of a record to pick the conversation back up. You started the contact, the data is ordinary business-contact data, and the processing is what you would expect. Where I later need to send you my CV or contract paperwork, that is steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract (Article 6(1)(b)).
How long I keep it
- Active conversation: for as long as the opportunity is live.
- After that: up to 12 months, so I can recognise you if you come back with another role.
- If we work together: the engagement records for six years, because HMRC and my accountant require it.
Who else sees it
Nobody, unless it is part of the role you contacted me about, for example passing my details to your client. I do not sell, share or trade contact data. My email is hosted by Google, which processes it on my behalf under its own terms.
Your rights
You can ask me to show you what I hold, correct it, delete it, restrict what I do with it, hand it over in a portable format, or object to the processing altogether. Email caitlintaylorlife@gmail.com and I will deal with it inside one month, free of charge. “Delete everything” is a perfectly reasonable request and I will not ask why.
If you are not happy with how I have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. I would rather you came to me first.
Changes
If this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it.
